Whites, blacks must solve the problem

– The protests in Baltimore have brought the racial divide in America back into the spotlight. But unlike the protests in the 1960s, these protests center mostly on police brutality, specifically towards African-Americans. However, even such circumstances don’t warrant violent rioting. Just like in the ’60s, this problem will not just go away but will have to be dealt with by both the white and black communities together. We must realize this is not a Ferguson issue, this is not a Baltimore issue, this is not a black issue, nor is it just a policeman’s issue, but it is an American issue. And an American issue will never go away until we all come together and discuss it, and hopefully, we will obtain justice for all. All of this reminds me of a saying of the Prophet Muhammad: “A white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action.”
