The barbaric attack against innocent people in Manchester is worth all the condemnation its getting. As an Ahmadi Muslim I would like to extend my condolences to all the affected families and the people of Manchester. It also pains me to see the arrival of the Holy month of Ramadhan defamed in this way by terror groups such as ISIS. It is a great shame that they use the name of Islam to commit such heinous crimes against humanity. They claim to read the holy Quran and yet miss this verse from chapter 5, which states that “Whosoever killed a person … It shall be as if he killed all of mankind.”
The Khalifah of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has stated “… those who seek to justify their hateful acts in the name of Islam are only defaming it in the worst possible way.” The real Muslim perhaps then is that man who decided to give free taxi rides to people fleeing from the scene of carnage. Or perhaps the lady who offered her house and beds to the victims of the tragedy. If only ISIS can fathom this humanity and see how far they have strayed from the right path.
