I just returned from spending a week in Moore, Okla., helping the victims of the tornado get back on their feet. I also helped raise money to replace a broken cross-headstone for a Christian widow so that her children could have something by which to remember their father.

Each day, I saw countless “I love Jesus” signs, as well as “Jesus loves you” signs.

Well, as a Muslim, I want to say that I also love Jesus. And I also love Muhammad, the founder of Islam.

Few Americans really know what Prophet Muhammad stood for. To find out more, and to learn something you have likely never learned or heard before, come check out an event put on by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community at the Old Town Newhall Library Community Room next Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m. The event is called “Muhammed, Messenger of Peace.” You can RSVP at I can almost guarantee you will appreciate the event. See you there!
