March 31 was the last day to sign up for health care coverage on HealthCare.gov. The website was part of a greater program under the Affordable Care Act, which was meant to provide health care to people. The main concern of this is people’s pocketbooks. They fear their money will go to pay for the health care of citizens who cannot afford health care services. My question to those people is: Do they believe in the sanctity of life? It is true this will bring health care to people who could not afford it on their own, but as a good Christian, Muslim, Jew, or even an atheist, it is our duty to help others and make their lives better, no matter the detriment to our finances or any other concern. The fact that this will save lives outshines any other argument presented.
