The Associated Press confirms mass graves of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. These are innocent people being murdered in the name of religion, who have no ability to defend themselves against the relentless onslaught.
Where is the United Nations when you need it? The United States led a unilateral attack against Iraq in 2003 to defeat a dictator who carried out a similar onslaught against Kurds and Kuwaitis. This selective activism against one dictator while another one roams free is indicative of a bigger symptom: lack of true justice.
As an Ahmadi Muslim, I am reminded by the Quran that true justice is the only way to achieve everlasting peace. Islam stands firm against discrimination on the basis of caste, color, creed or religion.
The fifth head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, while delivering a keynote address at the 10th annual Peace Symposium at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London, said, “If we want true peace and if we want to save the world from destruction then we must act with justice, integrity and be ever faithful to the truth.”
